Manhattan User's Guide - "Parking Garage Guide"

Say you live on 29th Street. You need to find a monthly garage.
You could pay $643 at 10 E. 29th or you could pay $233 at 253 W. 29th.
We know this because of a new website called NYCGarages where
you can search by neighborhood, address, or attraction for daily
or monthly parking. Up pops a map showing the garage locations;
beneath the map is a chart with the garage name and address,
street and avenue, displayed from least expensive to most expensive.
And there's even more detail: click on the garage name for
additional info on pricing, hours, and garage capacity.

About BestParking.com
Summary of Services: Founded in March 2006, BestParking.com (formerly NYCGarages.com) is a free parking search engine that enables drivers to find parking garages and lots, compare daily and monthly rates, and book "Reservations" and/or "Rate Guarantees" at participating facilities. By using the site, it is possible to quickly narrow a search to a particular New York City (Manhattan), Boston, Philadelphia, or Washington DC neighborhood or address and then view the best parking deals on both a map and sortable list. Other displayed information includes the garage's/lot's name, precise NYC/Boston/Philadelphia/DC address, capacity, phone number (when available), hours of operation, general standards and rules, and any additional rates that are omitted from the automatic calculations (e.g., event, restaurant, or visitor specials). Note that a garage's/lot's actual entrance often differs from its "official" posted address because garages/lots share the address of their building. For example, if the building entrance is on an avenue and the garage/lot is on the neighboring side street, our site lists the garage's/lot's approximate side street address.
Daily Parking: Prices are displayed once an arrival and departure time is entered and the "calculate rates" button is pressed. Our system considers all possible pricing variations (e.g., early-bird, evening, and holiday specials and extra overnight charges) before returning a result for the time period. If your goal is to get the cheapest rate, we urge you to run a few searches, as small variations in arrival and departure times may mean the difference between qualifying for a terrific cheap special and paying a maximum charge. If driving an SUV or van, be sure to check the box above "calculate rates" (currently, the most common surcharge is $10 per day). If your search results in an "N/A" (Not Applicable), either the garage or lot is closed at the time of your arrival/departure or daily parking is not allowed. Parking "Reservations" and "Rate Guarantees" are currently available in New York City from Icon Parking Systems and Edison ParkFast. These "Reservations" and "Rate Guarantees" are completely free, and no deposit is required.
Monthly Parking: The default vehicle type is set to "Regular", for which prices are automatically displayed. If you are driving an SUV or van, luxury vehicle, or motorcycle press the corresponding button above the map to recalculate the rates. Any additional vehicle types, such as "exotic cars", "stretch limousines", "chauffeured cars", "electric cars", etc. are displayed when pointing to a garage/lot on the map or clicking a garage/lot in the list below the map. Note: The posted rates are often higher than the actual rates customers pay since most parking facilities are open to negotiation. In fact, many garage/lot signs substitute "inquire within" for a monthly rate, which we indicate by a "N/P" (Not Posted). An "N/A" (Not Applicable) result means either that the garage/lot does not accept your type of vehicle or monthly parking is not allowed.
Disclaimer:
Boston, Philadelphia, Washington DC, and NYC parking rate signs are often ambiguous or incomplete. Specials may or may not be posted at all times, and are frequently adjusted to match the rates of nearby garages and lots. In addition, posted hours of operation may differ from actual hours. Although we strive for 100% accuracy, it is an unachievable goal. Therefore, BestParking.com cannot be held responsible for excess charges or otherwise inaccurate information. You should always confirm our rates with the garage or lot before leaving your car. Finally, by including garages and lots on our site, we make no representation about their business practices or reliability in caring for your vehicle.
